I had the distinct pleasure of filming in front of some of my fellow Jiu Jitsu folk of the 10th Planet school here in Austin, Texas at the ONNIT Academy. I am still very much a beginner to jiu jitsu, but the similarities in the movement patterns between the martial art and yoga is astounding. Practicing one will only help the other I have found, so whatever drives you, mix it up, and have fun. This flow is fun and challenging, by the way, so enjoy. Calm, always calm.....calm doesn't mean quiet by the way, nor does it necessarily mean peaceful. Calm is staying in control even when everything around you is on fire. Calm helps you think clearly in every situation. Consistent breath, even loud or heavy, facilitates calm. Practice that as best you can. Enjoy.
